Re: Purchasing a suitable biab bag

Chris Rogers at brewinabag.uk Best quality bag I ever bought, he does several sizes for all pots and the one I got was specifically for a 40 litre Buffalo Boiler. Well worth the money.

Like I said in my first post, one brewer tried a fridge magnet and it would not stick but the pot still boiled but others say they dont.

Buffalo Induction Hob + 50 Litre Pot

I know this question has been asked before but al I can find is conflicting reports on wether the 50 litre Bergland pots will work on the 3kw Buffalo Induction Hob CE208. I have read about the magnet test but one brewer tested with one and it never stuck but the pot boiled on the hob, others say the...

The top part incorporates the cylinder section while the water jacket is a part on its own and the bottom part is where the thread is. so, 3 parts in all. I will upload some pictures of the stripdown fo...

It was more the age of the starsan rather than its source.

Re: Ashbeck water

Interestingly I've been having the same problem with starsan turning cloudy in ashbeck water within a few hours. Three days ago I decided to try the malt millers version of starsan I bought as a replacement for my 3 year old original version which is running out. It's still crystal clear. I hate to...

Re: Ashbeck water

I use Ashbeck Water from Tesco but I use 7.5ml of Star San per 5 litre bottle and have never had it go cloudy, the last one was around 2 weeks ago and no prob but to be honest, its not the cloudy bit you need worry about, its actually the Ph level that is important, it must stay below 3ph to be aff...

Re: Old Rosie yeast harvesting,(No longer works)

In the interest of helping others who wished to culture Old Rosie yeast I decided to contact Kate at Westons Brewery to ask if infact if Old Rosie was bottle conditioned and was there any form of live yeast left in the bottles or was it all pasteurised and infact dead yeast to achieve the cloudy asp...
