Glad you got sorted, my blue US carbonator cap did exactly the same, didn't last long.

Re: New Braumeister Owner Questions

Sparge...Usually brew 23L, 4% abv, using just under 4kg grain. I fill to 26L, mash, then raise the malt pipe with a ceiling hoist leaving filter plate in place, select 60 minute boil, rinse grains with 5L of preheated, treated water at 78c, leaving malt pipe to drain until just before boil starts, s...

Re: How unattended is the Braumeister?

Thanks for the advise Rhodesy....All my brews have a grain bill around 3.8K, never over 4K, doughing in at 60c as it is the temperature off the combi boiler, I will try your method.

Re: How unattended is the Braumeister?

Can't leave mine unattended.....recently been experiencing variable wort fountains throughout the mash period and I mean wort fountains, lid lifters  randomly start, a lot of escaped sticky wort everywhere it shouldn't be  there must be a risk of exposing the element if left unattend...

I wonder if that is more or less annoying than the ones that switch themselves off before you've finished weighing.

Re: BM Problems

Are the BM's loosing some of their sparkle? It's looking like it, I've had multiple issues from day one and remain unhappy, every brew day I'm expecting the controller to mist up again or another issue to spoil my day, I was expecting faultless high end quality to justify the high cost, unfortunate...

FV Taps

Hi I’ve finally had enough of struggling with my Waddington & Duval Drum Taps for my 3 fermenters, reassembly after cleaning and sanitising, getting the double thread to screw up correctly, drives me daft, although I like the ability to strip down completely. I can only find taps that look like they...

Hi joe1002, did you have ENODIS SK130-021 taps? Did you have to buy both Intertap taps and shanks?

Re: Intertap

If I buy any more expensive taps and shanks, I would make sure seal/service kits are readily available. I have 2 ENODIS SK130-021 taps, many on here bought of Norman way back. These taps require regular strip cleaning to get gunk out that is not removed when line cleaning, as a result the seals are ...

Where are you? I'm near Kendal, so if you are anywhere near I have some plastic sanke kegs and you are more than welcome to have one, so you can give them a try. Hi Bob you have a PM. I got very soft water too and no problems here after 2 and a half years with Crusaders. I do the same as Bob and le...
