Re: Cheapest place - 5 litre/1gallon All grain kits

Malt Miller and build recipies, just order a few at a time to keep shipping reasonable. Your biggest problem is probably yeast, liquid gets expensive very quickly if you don't want to freeze/store yeast ( liquid or dry) then you can try to do a number of sequential batches with the same yeast. ATB. ...

Re: bottling ????

Primary then cold crash then into a bottling bucket (bulk prime) then to bottles using a bottling wand.
The extra transfer is not usualy needed.

Re: Temporary hose and tap ...

Yup it would.

I don't think that there is an ideal solution even if I hard plumbed and buried copper pipes I would still have a dead leg with water stationary in it for weeks at a time.

Re: Temporary hose and tap ...

It's the drain n dry that is a an issue, I am concerned about potential for things to grow in the hose. My usual cleaning procedure, is clean it, dry it, store it, clean it and use it I'm fussy about the dry it stage. However I do have a short hose that I use when caravaning obviously even after dra...

Re: Temporary hose and tap ...

Thanks All.

I fill my fermenter on an admittedly crude trolley that I built to a height that enables me to simply push the fermenter onto the fridges shelf or to pull it from the fridge onto the trolly.

Temporary hose and tap ...

Evening All. I'm getting older and beside that I'm not supposed to lift so carrying water from the house to the garage is slowly becoming an issue. Although I suppose I could move 5-10 litres at a time but that would just be frustrating. When brewing I have the garage set up with hoists and a trolle...

Re: Mangrove Jack's M84

If your doing 23l it's going to take time it's half the amount of yeast recommended. With the full amount of yeast I'd suggest giving it a week at 12 then raising the temp 1 a day to 18 then when finished crash to -1 for as long as you can. Pitch to crash could be as little as 14 days but longer if ...
