Re: Tomorrow's brew

Did they have the olives stall there? No prices and I am glad I wasn't next in the queue when somebody at the front was charged an astronomical amount, I quickly retreated.

I was there on Sunday morning for the Farmers Market having stayed overnight at Holbeach Hurn.
Thanks. Nipped over there today. Nice indoor Market. There was even a chap there selling beer!
Birdhouse Brewery?
When we went in February my wife bought some cider from the stall next to his.

Re: Dry Hopping - How much

I toured the Black Sheep brewery many years ago and I thought they used Yorkshire Squares.
I was impressed by the timber work especially in the roof.

Smashing. A mate and I often used to meet up there BC.

I good habit to restart methinks.
I should've added that the closing times can be a bit later depending on how many punters are in. I don't think Luke likes my grandsons!

Re: overnight no-chill brewdays

All the hazy beers I have tasted have been citrus flavoured. If I want to taste grapefruit, I would eat a grapefruit. My wife enjoys citrus tasting beers... Is the priors oven still open? Yes, my daughter's partner works there! Luke is on holiday today though. Reduced hours since COVID: Thursday 4p...

Re: Granny state!

No pop noticed! HAve normal beer on the go too - Today I made 45L of "Shed" lager - stella clone, bottled 24L of bitter, and have just started a 25L batch of same bitter fermenting. Currently have 30L of a light lager, 25 of a NZ pilsner underway too. Trying to get lager made before the weather war...

Did i not menetion it :D :D :D

Kidding. Defo no a dibble but you are geographically correct - gotta collect some paperwork in person (due to Royal Mail)
I didn't think a Dibble would be brewing beer.

I’m North Lincs, not too far from there.

Proper Lincolnshire then. I am off up to the big office at Nettleham next week.
Does that mean that you are a Dibble?

Re: Tomorrow's brew

Mashbag, I blew in over nearly 35 years ago... My wife is a Yellowbelly and she is VERY careful with money.

Am I correct in thinking you are based in Holbeach? I was there on Sunday morning for the Farmers Market having stayed overnight at Holbeach Hurn.

Yeah.. Spalding does that to you. 🤣
Repurposed sleeping bag.
Only if you are indigenous to the area, as a blow in I don't consider myself as tight as locals.

Re: overnight no-chill brewdays

Surely it is the taste/flavour of the beer that is important, not what it looks like. Having said that, I don't particularly like hazy beers.

I do like your mash jacket. I have made similar, but it isn't a patch on that.
Yours was probably cheaper...
