Re: Russian Imperial Stout (Brew Day)
Hi all, after looking for something in my garage this afternoon, i cam across 3 bottles of this Russian Imperial stout  which i thought i had made in 2014. Just cracked a bottle open & it still had enough fizz to give a slight head which only lasted 10 seconds then was gone. But even after 8 ...

Re: Lockdown Brew Day
Hey all, finally decided to bottle my "Lockdown" Brew yesterday after almost 2 weeks of fermenting  it stopped at around 1006 to 1008 so hopefully around 3.6 to 3.9% [-o< . Added Half Sugar instead of normal white sugar for priming  so not sure what the end result will come out like? Ei...

Re: Lockdown Brew Day

Re: Lockdown Brew Day
Hey Leedsbrew, long time no speak mate, nice to see your still on Jims, yeah it was a bit of a practice run if I am honest just to get my Brewing Eye back in after 2 years off. It was great to use "Old Faithful" (my original all grain brewing kit) instead of the Big Boys stainless Kit I have moved o...

Re: Does cider produce a krausen?
Mick, Did you enjoy the Homebrew Fest? I`ve never made a Cider Kit so I can`t comment. However, I have made a few TC`s and I find that if I use a clear Juice, ie, Raspberry, Raspbery and Cranberry, I don`t get a Krausen. If I use an opaque juice, ie, Mango and Papaya, Kiwi and Lime, I will get a Kr...
