Re: Opening and Tasting 40+ Year Old Beer
I remember watching this a while back and felt that the experience was kinda wasted on him as he doesn't drink beer much. I'd love to have tried them!

Re: In Line Fan Wiring Advice Needed
Cheers! Works a treat. I've re jigged the wires so that left switch is on/off. 'On' function on right switch for high fan. 'Off' function for low. Just made sense in my head that way. Getting there slowly. Next jobs: Frame for the vessels Hot water supply, sink and drainage R.O system installation M...

Re: In Line Fan Wiring Advice Needed
Are you going to hard wire high or make it switchable. Just wondered how noisy it might be. Plan was to wire on high only. However, after seeing how powerful it is, I'd like to switch between the two. Reckon i'd only need high for the boil. Sparging and hop stand should be fine with low. I've had a...

Re: In Line Fan Wiring Advice Needed
So... turns out that L1 is low speed and L2 is high speed. Which kinda makes sense actually when you think about it...
The blank isn't removable.
So powerful. I think it's going to do the job nicely

Re: In Line Fan Wiring Advice Needed
Cheers Mashbag. There is a 2 switch RCD in the brewery for lights and plug sockets. Planning on connecting the fan to the sockets wiring. With a 3 amp switched fuse, I'm hoping that should suffice. What do you think? I was thinking along the same lines as you about testing it. Good idea on not snapp...

Re: Steamy Brewery. What do you do about it?
Based on this thread, I switched to using a pedestal fan to push steam away from the grainfather, as I brew in a back room about 1m away from an outside door. Made a massive difference, and if I angle the fan down so it also blows on the wort it prevents boil over. Have seen this method being used ...

In Line Fan Wiring Advice Needed
Hi folks, Sorry if this is a really silly post with an obvious answer. It's electrical so I always double check even if i'm 99.9% sure. I bought this in line fan for my garage brewery: https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/ADAV150.html I simply want to connect it to its own switch. I'll also install...

Re: Fermentation Fridge Heater... I'm done with Tube Heaters!
I think I'm going to go for the ceramic reptile bulb. Could have it sat upright with a terracotta plant pot over it. When it goes it'll just be a matter of unscrewing the bulb and screwing a new one in. Floyd It's unlikely a ceramic 'bulb' will go. Why would you want to put a terracotta plant pot o...

Re: Fermentation Fridge Heater... I'm done with Tube Heaters!
Thanks folks. Some interesting methods out there! The cable ideas seem to be very effective. themadhippy, I've had so many tube heaters over the years, I can't remember what brands I went for. Fermentation Fridge Heater... I'm done with Tube Heaters!
Hey folks, Yet again, another one of my tube heaters has packed up. I find myself replacing these things too often so am on the prowl for other ideas. Have any of you gone down the bulb route? Seen this suggested as an idea when I was Goggling around. Any thoughts on it? https://www.amazon.co.uk/NIC...
