As a start then, as I like to take things in stages, i'll get a salifert kit and test the water.
As an initial start, I'll start boiling my water first.

After a long hard think I opted for the Bulldog. Benefits (IMHO): 1. Much cheaper 2. Wort chiller easier to clean (I can see the GF getting really dirty) 3. When used with the Bulldog Sparg tank, the pump allows simple sparging 3 brews in, I'm happy with the decision. Would have liked the GF, but co...

I thought my pump had packed up the other day.
On the advice of the shop I bought it from, I took the impeller plate off the pump (4 screws) and cleaned it all out. Fired it up and it works a treat.
Must have got clogged up.
