What does acid malt do to a brew?

Acidifies the mash, generally used to tweak mash pH and not for any particular character in the resulting beer except in large proportions. Acidulated Malt.

Its infused with lactic acid. Save your money and just get a bottle of lactic acid for water adjustments.

I'm pretty sure acid-malt is use a lot in Germany where their NOT allowed to use lactic acid.

I tried some and didn't notice any real difference - I wouldn't bother next time

Sorry to bump this thread, but I'd be interested to know what EBC, Extract LDK, Moisture Content and % Fermentability is for this (Acid) malt, as Beer Engineer v1.09 doesn't list it......
