I after a few suggestions from you clever people.
I brewed an esb that had biscuit malt in it. These ingredients where bought from a place that no longer does the recipe creator. I have since been using get er brewed which has a recipe creator but they do not stock biscuit malt. Any suggestions of what i could use as an alternative?
Biscuit malt alternative
Re: Biscuit malt alternative
Lightly toasted malts carry a number of different names usually based on the region where the maltings are, so generally Biscuit/Aromatic in Belgium, Melanoidin in Germany, Victory in the US, Amber/Aromatic in the UK.
I've compiled a Malt Substitution table from various other tables on the internet, that you may find useful.
