My understanding is that Weyermann Carapils is basically a chit malt. It is not fully converted and has a low level of glassiness to the kernels.

It's different to the carapils that regularly appears to be referred to on the internet, which usually means Briess carapils, a fully converted, extra pale crystal malt.
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.
