Post by steambrew » Tue Jul 15, 2014 6:36 pm

My mates next door neighbours have hops growing in there hedge, some years ago people who lived there used to make beer using them, my question is can we take cuttings from the bines that are growing , I have been told you can air layer them using wet moss is this so any help would be of great help =D>

Rhizomes are easier.

I would try them first before getting any cuttings, wait til September and have a go, either green or dried. You should only take cuttings/root stock up to the end of May.
