When are 2014 hops available?

Considering that it is around two months since they have been harvested, when are UK, and for that matter US, hops available to buy?

You are unlikely to find any in HBS before the new year, unless its a sought after variety. US hops don't generally land until now/next month. Then again Jan/Feb before they are packed up and shipped out to shops, unless you have a contract with one of the big merchants.

Hops need drying and packaging obviously, but they also need distributing, and I expect contracts have to be fulfilled before hops are released to the general market. They also want people to buy 2012 and 2013 stock so they no doubt hold back on 2014 to clear as much of that stock as possible.

Worcester hop shop have 2014 target in stock, suprisngly quick for a UK hop.

We are just packing Cascade, Amarillo and Centennial. Rest of the US hops will be along after Chrimbo
