I just did a try on the brewshop.co.nz website and 4 packs of 100g pellets were a good price . . . but a 55NZD shipping cost wasn't! It would work out at about £13 per pack of hops delivered at that rate. Did anyone else find this or has something changed?

How much were you ordering, besides the Riwaka? I bought 4x100g Riwaka, 2x100g each of Wai-iti & Waimea and paid a total of NZ$91.51 back in April - $26 of that was shipping. The exchange rate was more favourable then, as it came to under £46 all in. Made the price of the hops £5.65/100g which I thought was a good price. At the time (and now) the Malt Miller was out of Wai-Iti, and I couldn't find a better price elsewhere. I did find Riwaka on one Irish site, but they were over £8/100g before shipping.

Hmm, just looked at what shipping would be for the same order again, and it was $72 DHL tracked as the only option!!!

Yeah quite! And given that import taxes apparently apply to the total value including the shipping then that makes it much less appealing.
