CO2 reffers to the method of extraction, compared to a hot extraction process such as an essential oil you will get a wider range of flavour and aroma compounds, especially more aromatic volatiles as supercritical CO2 is a cold extraction process. I havent used it myself in beer but my advice would be to add at the end of the boil and avoid cooking it too much, if at all.

Isn't the idea of it to use for bittering, I thought it still needs to be isomerized by the boil?
Edit: Ah it seems there are different versions, some of which seem to have the alpha acids already isomerized.
I'm looking to get some for bittering for an Imperial IPA clone.
