Another hop rhizome Xmas present to add to the collection - not complaining but I'm now up to 8 varieties and struggling to find places to fit them in.
Never even heard of this one but understand it has 'noble characteristics'.
Has anyone out there any experience of growing it in the UK (ideally 'up North') and/or using this variety?

Bit worrying no replies on this although I'd never heard of them either. Assuming I get some sort of harvest this year, looks like yet another experiment coming up!

Re: Santiam Hops
Took some time to get going, not the quickest or the strongest grower, and on some yrs not every yr thou, it get some sort of wilt, where the leaves go brown and crispy, it really stunts it.
Other than that, it makes a nice single hop brew.
And last yr the wind blew my hops stand over, I have 4 hazel poles in a square about 8 ft apart which the 4 different hops grow up each corner. So you can imagine the mess. So I picked mostly mixed hops
