Harvest Floris Belgian Wit Yeast?

Post by jmc » Fri Jul 08, 2011 1:05 am

Hi

I've a bottle of this and wondered whether anyone else has propagated yeast in this for a Belgian Style Wit beer?
see web page: Floris Wit Blanche

Its from Brouwerij Huyghe
home of Delirium Tremens

I've had bottle for a few months now so a fair amount of yeast has settled out

I'll try propagating it anyway, but would appreciate any feedback on whether its worth using in a Belgian Wit,

I was really pleased with results from this (so far)

Yeast propagated really well from 1 bottle 150cc -> 800cc LME wort.

I used stir plate at 15-18c (in garage) and it went great.

I had a taste of starter after adding most to AG46 - Belgian Wit.

Really pleased. Very Belgian with a tart Wit edge.

Looking forward to this!
