Bulldog Yeast Equivalents

Post by privatewiddle » Sat Apr 28, 2018 5:36 pm

Hello, I'm assuming that HB has these yeasts made for them by someone like Lallemand?

Does anyone know what the equivalent strains are?

I'd say they're repackaged. There aren't that many producers of dry brewer's yeast (requires big investment to set up). Since they offer a pretty limited selection of strains, brewers more familiar with dry brewer's yeast shouldn't have too much trouble recognising what these offerings compare with.

I'd be really interested to know what their B4 English Ale Yeast was, as I've seen it on sale fairly cheap.

I bought 2 of their yeasts to try out, the West Coast and the Belgian Saison. Not used them yet though, will post when I have.
