I notice that there are two brewery trips *before* the tree buying.

I wonder what he'll actually buy

I visited the far south of France in April/May last year, a region called the Aude. Now that's where I'd move to! Beautiful countryside, vineyards everywhere and oooo so quiet! It was an event if we saw a car come through the little village we were staying in.

What varieties JY?

Don't you have to have different trees to cross pollinate?

all the trees have been graft (hope this the right word!) so the different trees isn't to be cross pollinate but to make a good juice (sweet; bittersweet and bitter)

the var. are from brittany ( with breton names  ):
- douce moen
- douce coetligne
- prad yod
- c'huero gwenn
- jusdor
- rouget de dol
- St brieg ru
all of those are in the best of the var. to make good cider :P and in a good percentage between them.
but you still have to do the job :D
