A friend of mine has gifted me a 'drinks lab' home brew kit and dared me to have a go of making it. He works in the home-brew industry and says from tests he has done with the kits, it can have varying results. The kit contains a bung, airlock and three sachets of yeast with instructions that say, tip one pack of the yeast into a bottle of your chosen juice, shake it, leave it for 24 hours and then drink
not sure how great that's going to be...
so instead I'm going to make a 5 gallon batch in a demijohn, use the three yeast sachets and brew it out over a couple of weeks. Don't know if that will work but wish me luck!

Re: Drinks Lab home brew cider kit
it sounds like a turbo yeast, hence the unpredictable and varying results.
i would go with just a single pack of yeast in a 5l batch.

Do you think that will be enough? I'll try that, I don't want to create some massive foam bomb haha
