Cranberry and Raspberry TC to 20Lts

Post by WalesAles » Fri Apr 01, 2016 10:14 pm

Hello Everyone,
There seems to be a lot of activity on this Forum lately, so I will tell you about this one.........
1 Bottle Polish Raspberry and Redcurrant Syrup
5Lts Cranberry and Raspberry juice (Tesco)
14Lts Tesco basic Apple Juice
3 mugs Tea. 4 bags each
1tsp Allspice, 2tsp Ginger, 2tsp Cinnamon, 2tsp Nutmeg.
3tsp Yeast and 3tsp Yeast Nutrient @ 22deg
1 X tin 245gr Definitive Red Wine Enhancer
SG @ 22deg 1048

Never used the Red Wine thing before, but with a TC you can`t fail. #-o
Made this on Wed 23/3/16
After 24 Hrs 10mm Dark Brown Head
4 days later head had risen to 40mm
Just checked and head has collapsed leaving a debris free surface on the FV.
Smells Great! :D

Let`s see what happens.

A spicy fruity TC, sounds interesting.
I contacted Young's about the difference in red grape juice concentrate and red grape enricher, Lee Porter from Young's replied.

"The concentrated grape juice will have an higher level of sugar, than the enricher, which is more natural product"

Bottled this 13th April, 140gr sugar batch prime.
FG 1000, ABV 6.6%
`Taster` tonight and it is Absolutely Fantastic!
Super Clear, Good Hiss on opening, Noisy bubbly froth on pouring. :D
Two more pints in fridge cooling for another `Taste Test`.
This brew won`t last long! :D #-o
