I made lardy cake today while the oven was hot.... it is one of the greatest cakes ever, although I do prefer the maple and pecan version that I make over the original (I always make both for comparison purposes :P)

they also sell powdered mix so you can cook your own.


It costs £3.85 for a dozen as opposed to the £1.20ish that you would pay for them in an oatcake shop but it will be worth it.

I just found a recipe online ,NOW I know what it is, I remember it ! Not bad either but a bit sweet for me. :)
