Conditioning in larger amount - Differences to bottled?

Post by WishboneBrewery » Sun Nov 01, 2009 7:32 pm

Thoughts in my head at the moment...
I'm getting pretty used to bottling but have noticed a difference in taste in larger bottles vs smaller bottles, the beer in the larger bottles seems to condition up much more mellow in a good way.

Does this happen in the cask, and if so does it make recreating a bottled flavour for a casked ale more tricky?
