ASDA Smart Price Hop Bags!

Post by floydmeddler » Sun Mar 08, 2009 1:37 pm

Was in ASDA today doing the weekly shop when I discovered these bad boys!

It's actually a 'Mesh Washing Bag' 50cm x 36cm. Feels really sturdy and with a zip, this should work a treat.

Alright for £1!

Used the Sainsburys ones a while ago. Cracking pieces of kit for next to no money. Bet they're cheaper at Asda though :D

Hmm... Not sure. Is there any way to find out? (Apart from lead poisoning symptoms of course!)

I suppose for that money you could just cut the zip out. Tie it together instead with string?

I thought no one used lead based paint anymore

There was a scandal a few months ago because some children's toy that was made in China turned out to have been painted with lead-based paint.
But as myke2008 said, if you're that worried, you could just cut the zip out and tie it up with some string.

Not worried to be honest... doubt it's lead based.

Well I'm not dead yet and have had no ill effects from mine. They are perfect for pellets if you haven't got a decent hop stopper like Scooby's et al :D
