see how carapils and some crystal malts are crap for head retention. We all knew wheat and BP/RB were great though :lol:

Nice vid. I must admit I dumped carapils from my grist quite a while ago (used to add it religously) because it just didn't seem to be adding anything. I always add 5% or so wheat malt for a bit of head retention in my pales and it seems to work well.

Interesting stuff. Though if Charlie Bamforth were a Football Manager, his choice of words in describing the women behind the temperance movement (the first part of the vid) might well have landed him on the front pages!
