Importing oak cubes from US

Post by MrN » Fri Sep 08, 2017 5:24 pm

Pretty random question this. I'm going to the states next month and I thought I might take advantage of the range of homebrew stuff they sell over there. One thing I want that doesn't seem readily available in the UK is some medium toast American oak cubes. I understand there's pretty strict restrictions on bringing plant matter into the UK, would these fall under this? I can't find an answer on the internet as it's quite a specific thing, I thought it'd be ok as they're toasted and everything...
