Go on then. I'll add to the data set. Was getting a consistent 0.49g over a number of samples.

I'll be the Percy Pedant who points out that, although the scales use units of mass what they actually measure is the gravity force acting on the mass, that is weight.
i'll keep that in mind when i'm homebrewing on mars  seriously though, i'm fairly sure that gravitational variations between here and france would not effect such a difference in weight..

in the spirit of this thread, my DD scales with one decimal point have a selection of wilko's campden tablets at 0,6g each

When did you last calibrate them? The scales that I use have a maximum weight of 500 grams and I calibrate them regularly.

Couple of months ago with calibration weight from work, they stay very accurate. Just weighed a new pound coin at 8.79g, royal mint specification is 8.75g. I guess all Campden tablets aren't the same.

Having Googled this in the past. 1 tablet = 0.44g Sodium Metabisulphate. 10 tablets = a teaspoonful.

Any one know the weight of a single Campden Tablet? I have the powder and could do with knowing how much I need to treat brew water.
I have just checked the individual weight of Wilko's Camden tablets and they weigh between 0.73 and 0.76 grams. So that is 50% more than has been suggested. The scales I used are accurate to two decimal places.
I just weighed ten Wilko Camden tablets and they worked out at 0.69g each
