Help with acetaldehyde

Post by Bigbud78 » Sat Mar 17, 2018 1:14 am

My last brew ( a citra smash) I kegged has a appley taste & aroma, I'm assuming I crashed it too quickly and it wasnt finished :( I bottled all the remains and cracked a bottle tonight and it doesnt have the taste. Is it because I warmed it up to carb it ?

If I warm this keg up (its carb'd) can I save it ?

Probably. Residual yeast should be able to convert it to ethanol, just burp the keg a bit to let it off gas, knowing you can always add a little sugar again to recarbonate it of you go too far.
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.
