Beer, Cambridge, Nov 19th

Post by jubby » Sun Oct 24, 2010 3:54 pm

Yes, i know we've just had one, but this is with a bit more notice :!:

Any Cambridge area JBK members (or non Cambridge area) are welcome to come along and sample some quality beers and have a chat. Kit, extract or grain.....doesn't matter, just come along for a beer.

We will be meeting in the Cambridge Blue ( unless there are any objections ) at 8pm, Friday Nov 19th. Bring a bottle if you've got one, if not....get em in.

I will book a table this time

Thanks jubby. I'll be there.

My Christmas Ale is now in secondary, so I'll try to bottle some to bring along. Or will we be meeting again before Christmas, as it would be better with a bit more time?

That looks good! Bring one along in case we can't manage another meeting before xmas. I might bring one of my xmas attempts, tastes like liquid liquorice at the moment though :-&

Some guidance on samples....how big a bottle?
I've been playing with new zealand hops and they went well in a lager, nice in a blonde and then I added some willamette, convinced that would anchor the citrussy note of the NZ's but it hasn't quite turned out as I'd expected. I'll probably bring some and see what you think I should do to improve it.

A 500ml bottle is what we normally bring; sometimes two if you have them ready to drink at the time. Look forward to tasting that beer, sounds right up my street :D
