The majority of the original posting members haven't been back in quite a number of years so it doesn't look like it went anywhere.

As this topic has been resurrected though, are there many members from the South Wales area? I live just outside Abergavenny.

I would still be keen to get something going. I am in the Pontypridd area.

To start things off (and see what we want as a 'gathering') we could always meet for a beer or two somewhere around Cardiff? Probably best in the new year now since most people are busy this time of year.

I spent much of my childhood not far from Abergavenny, first in Gilwern and then Glangrwyney. Haven't been back there for years and years, but I have to spend a day in Cwmbran in March so will have a little bit of a tour I think :) Unfortunately there'll be no drinking as the purpose of the trip is to take the children to a swimming meet :(

Try and include the Otley brewery (just of the a470) on your tour - great place to stock up on bottles and ingredients

I'm based in the valleys and currently still at the kit brewing stage so if it's dried malt extract people are after I'd be game for a bulk buy or something as prices for malt or homebrew stores are hard to come by. Oh and if your ever in the area pop in to Grey Trees brewery some cracking beers

I am in Bridgend so Cardiff as far as transport is concerned sounds a suitable venue. Transport links in s.Wales are probably as good as it gets.

I'm in Port Talbot but originally from the Rhondda. Sadly won't be able to do any sort of meet as as 2nd bambino is due end of the month. But could be interested in bulk buy at a later date. Brewing taken a bsck seat for a little while
