This year - British Best Bitter - 1040-1048, IBUs 25-40, EBC 10-32, FG 1008-1012, ABV 3.8-4.6% These are only guidelines. If it tastes like a Best Bitter and looks like one then..... Lastly please stick to British hops.

Organising staff will be allowed to enter, but will be not considered for prizes or placing.
Peoples choice comp: Beers brewed for consumption by all in the form of a Home brewers bar. These will be judged by the by an open vote decided at the final prize giving. Probably looking at five kegs, casks, polys, etc
Bar beer will be £1 to £2 voluntary donation to the Legion charity.
Location/Venue:
Royal British Legion, Wivenhoe, Essex. The Legion is on the quay. It is about 200m from the railway station.
Prizes: Cold hard cash. First £20 (and a brewday at Wibblers, turning your homebrew in to a commercial product, THIS IS FOR THE BEST AG RECIPE ONLY), Second £10 and third £5.

Entry to the event will be through me, by email, phone or through meetings. Entries will stopped being accepted one week prior to the event (to aid organisation).
I will produce accounts running up to the event, and a final account at the event if anyone is worried that I may skim off the top and head of to South America.

A Christmas reminder for this. If your in the Essex/Suffolk or even on the London line from Liverpool Street, get your name in. It should prove to be a great day.

Brew time reminder of this competition. It should be a good get together.
Now taking mailed/delivered entries, contrary to what it says above.

Re: East Anglian Craft Brewers Comp/Social
This makes an interesting read, and I was getting all excited about entering my current brew as it nearly met your criteria, but it's failed on the hop front. Only 1 of the 4 hops in my bitter are British
I had lunch in Wivenhoe today at the Black Buoy, which included a nice pint of Kernel Pale Ale.
I will do my best to attend and drink instead.
Cheers

Re: East Anglian Craft Brewers Comp/Social
Well brewers. Time is getting close. There is enough time now to get a well prepared brew on to enter this.
It can be a drop off, or a walk in entry. However better if you can come and meet the other brewers.
Please use two plain brown bottles, and gold crown caps with no markings.
If you fancy coming down please email on: bluemonkeyegg@gmail.com
Thanks
Matt
