doing a fursty ferret today and also the 1st time ive tried water treatment, mash ph was spot on at 5 so ive done something right. used crs and dls just too see how much difference it makes to the finished product, i live in a very hard water area with a total alkalinity of 254.5 which was the main reason ive decided to treat the water. my previous beers have all been fine but if this gives an improvement then why not :D

Good luck with the brew. I'm partial to a fursty ferret myself - what recipe are you using?

Cheers, I'd be interested to hear how this turns out. Might put it on the TODO list. Is that your own recipe?
