Running off now; ph was a little high at around 5.6-5.7 but the mash-tun is working perfectly this time, colour looks great!

A Yorkshire lad. I'm from York but now live in London, love getting back home every now and then. Where about in York you from? Looks like a nice day for brewing back home today. Mine has been a bit of a disaster up to now but I won't go into that here.

Happy brewing kyle

I'll just have to assume you were forced down there at gun point.

I'm originally from North Yorkshire near Richmond and then lived in The Groves/Walmgate, York for the last few years. But recently moved East out into the Wolds near Market Wheaton.
The weather is Glorious, one of the best days of the year so far. perfect brewing weather!

since I've started mashing 40L batches I'm going to have to find a way of speeding up the sparge! Finally 47L in the kettle, And we can get on to the boil!
Strangely the PH of the last runnings has dropped to 5.4?

I've undershot my gravity by a couple of points but I haven't worked out my efficiency on this rig yet so that's not a problem. Other than that it all seems to have gone pretty good. There's a lot of hole cone hops in the kettle though, so I only got 36Lout. I'll have to adjust more for it next time.
