The stainless ones (top to bottom). Top = standard triclover fitting so you can add what you want. Mid picture = temperatue probe port with STC probe. Left mid picture = sample valve. Conical slope = main racking arm. Dead bottom = Yeast dump.

The non stainless parts, silicone hose = blow off (I dont use sit on airlocks - too messy if things start escaping) Blue and Red beer line flow and return cooling / heating coil sitting in the fermentor controlled by the maxi.

The large stainless enclosure is the £6.50 freezer (working) to quickly crash the temps.

Hi

Where did you get the fementer from?

I guess you get good results from brewing in this vessle as well as brewing more but less frequently.

Looks ace and keep up the good work!

The vessel is from Willis, but they are hit and miss if they have them in stock or even if they want to sell you something.

MrLard on the forums has just started importing a VERY similar model + has the spare bits to back them up, so if your looking for an English based seller contact him.

If you dont need the conical shape a standard stock pot will still produce excellent results.

As for brew length its designed for 100 with a capacity of 110 litres, so yes fewer brewdays but less clearing up :) But for "banker" brews its ideal (albeit the Stout Kit is an unknown), I`m also working on a smaller one pot system for trial batches.

I`ve warmed the ferment temp up over the last couple of days to get the yeast to finish their thing. Now set the STC to zero to crash the temp, once the maxi is up to coolness I`ll also switch the freezer on.

Gravity at the moment is 1010 starting from 1050.

Yep I also bunged a bag of brewing sugar in there as well :) I just hope it tastes ok , at the moment its quite drinkable (after drinking the FG sample earlier). I`ll crash it for a couple of days if not longer, bung it into the kegs and start drinking it straight away. 150 pints should last a while.

When I saw the 1/2 price sale at wilkos I went a bit mad on kits but at least its provided a test for part of the new setup.

As for Mr Ditch :-$ but absolutely no water treatment / no added chemicals just plain old tap water and the kit, hell the measuring of the water wasn't exactly done in a technical fashion :D
