Hopefully after 4-6 weeks in the bottle, this one will be good to go.
Once you have finished cold crashing rack off onto some gelatine and leave under cover and airlock (

Is this what I'm after?

You can use gelatin from the supermarket. Apparently not suited to bottling, cos it loosens the yeast up. Unless you use loads, and make beer jelly.

This is the stuff I used:
http://ebay.co.uk/itm/310670060937
100g will last ages and 3 quid delivered.
Really is amazing as a final polish to the brew. I've never had clarity this fast, 3 days star bright!

Cheers for this, I ordered 100g last night.
Can't wait to try it, as I am a bit OCD about bright beer

That, or if you like it super easy, get the gelatine sheets from the Malt Miller which are designed to clear a standard brew length.

I mentioned this on my Abbot thread but I'll put it here too if you want to follow it;
This is the process I followed:
Rack beer to keg and chill to 1c for 24hrs before fining with gelatine.
200ml cool water (approx. 18c)
1 tsp gelatine
Sprinkle gelatine onto water and let bloom for 30 mins.
Heat in microwave in short bursts until it turns clear, (15 secs at a time and stir, will take approx. 5 x 15 sec bursts and end @ approx. 50c. Do not boil).
Add to keg and purge with CO2.
Place keg back in fridge for 24hrs (can force carb at this stage).
Dump cloudy half/pint, set to serving temp/pressure etc.

Just transferred the brew to a jerry can to condition. Lovely smooth taste to it. First time using the Wilko yeast and really impressed!
20l in the jerry can and 3l in Grolsch bottles.
FG 1.010
4.5% ABV

Just kegged mine today. FG was about 10, and has a nice clean, light, hoppy taste - should be just the job for the hot summer days.
Nice to see a good firm yeast deposit from the Notty after my last few brews with windsor as well.

Bottled mine today @ 1008, down from 1046/1047, not sure about this one, first one with the wilko yeast, sample jar taster seemed very dry to me.

Your final gravity seems quite low as well (which would explain the dryness) - was your mash temp OK?

Mine has been sat at 2-3C for the last few days, and got racked today as my gelatine arrived.
Aiming to bottle on Sunday, but also have another AG brew planned
Cheers

Mine is out in the shed conditioning now. Few weeks time I'll get it in the Sankey, drop close to 1c and fine with gelatine. Looking forward to this as the sample was quite pleasant. Saying that, I've got the 4 Grolsch bottles full too so may crack one of them later lol

Update; Just cracked a bottle. Lurrvvley. Not at all clear after 1 week in the bottle but it's lovely and smooth. Just need the weather to go with it!
