Milk o stout

4.5 kg Maris Otter
0.7 kg chocolate malt
0.22 kg roasted barley
0.45 kg lactose
Hops. Fuggles.
11g mangrove jack Mo7 British ale

Strike @ 71 deg. (22 litre)
Mash @ 68 deg for 60 mins.
Dunk sparge in 10 litres @ 72 deg. 15 mins
boil 60 mins. pre boil og 1050. Pre boil volume 27.5 litre
43 g fuggles @ 60
14 g fuggles @ 30

Lactose. )
Irish moss. ) 15 mins
Chiller. )

Og 1060
Fermenter volume 20.5 litres.
Yeast pitched at 21 deg.

Unusual brew - it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

What did your IBUs total? You'll need a lot to balance that one out.

I haven't seen someone else make a Milk Stout for ages, I have one in the fermenter now.

Do they walk out your fermenter like normal stouts do

Nope, I have enough headspace to avoid that happening.

I'm considering a 23 litre batch in a 33 litre fermenter guess that will do
