Did the Jim's Summer Quaffer Brewalong yesterday, but with the malt rounded up to a full batch 4Kg so 2KG in my half batch system
2kg Pale Malt
100g Torrefied Wheat
200g Crystal Malt
Hop figures all adjusted for my AA rating.
Leaf Challenger AA 5.9 so 22.25g 90 mins
Leaf Cascade AA 6.7 so 8.5g 10 mins
Leaf Golding AA 4.8 so 11.88g flameout
Smoothest one yet, except I still turned the flipping tap the wrong way on the kettle when I noticed the wort starting to cloud up a bit whilst draining into the FV
Anyways ...
Starting recirculation
& a video of it..

Tried the new Ph meter to check my mash, using the shot glass in the freezer technique, chilled it down a bit too much first of all so stood it between the recirc pipes & warmed it through, had just clicked over to 21 Deg when I took this. This is courtesy of Tesco Spring Water not the stuff from my pipes.
Draining the Malt pot
Temp. rigging of the new boil element controller
Triac temp. at full bore
Something to help proceedings
Hot break
More controlled boil
That warms the Triac up a bit
"Shovelling out the mash tun"
All done & 12.L in the FV @ 1046 / 1047 11.2 Brix
EDIT.
Bottled 15th June @ 1008, down from 1046/1047, not sure about this one, first one with the wilko yeast, sample jar taster seemed very dry to me.
