Well I finally took the plunge and did an all grain, biab stout using 50 litre pot and induction hob.
3.14kg maris otter
895g flaked barley
445g roasted barley
Mashed for 90 min at 66
Boiled for 90 min with 50g fuggles
Got 19 litres at 1.050 in fermenter
Really enjoyed the whole thing

Re: My first brew day
Nice set up. Were you OK boiling with just the window open?
Re: My first brew day
Did get a bit steamy but had back door open too in the end

Hi mate, same as you. Brew in the kitchen, 50l kettle, with the back door open, but have a stand type fan and blows straight out the back door. No more dripping walls and not seeing in front of my own face. I'm sure a cheap table top fan would suffice if you have the work top space/ sockets etc. Works a treat.
Re: My first brew day
Thats what I do too. Just a small fan blowing from behind the boiler blows most of the steam out of the window.

Think a fan is getting put in next time

I'm must be lucky having a sky light directly above where i brew, the steam just goes straight up and out!
