I made a Coopers Stout Kit Brew on 15/5/17.
I split the Brew and added this stuff....

Obviously being me I put 25ml of Coffee and 25ml of Dark Chocolate Flavouring in 10Lts split brew.
The flavours are VERY intense, obviously I should have used less, but there you are, these things happen.
My question is this, where has my sediment gone?
Every bottle I pour, opens with a good hiss, bubbles rising up the bottle.
There is absolutely NO SEDIMENT.
The beer has no head but is revived with the use of a syringe. And it stays there to the bottom of the glass.

Re: Where is my sediment?
Presumably using it as a Pocket Beer Engine?
(EDIT: Unless the beer is cloudy of course, which may suggest stuff just hasn't settled.)
The beer is clearly capable of maintaining a head if something causes one. So (in spite of the hiss at opening) the lack of sediment and lack of naturally forming head may suggest not much of a priming fermentation occurred in the bottle?WalesAles wrote:There is absolutely NO SEDIMENT. Yeah, it sounds as if you didn't get much fermentation in the bottle. The hiss you get when you open them might just be from the residual CO2 left in the beer from the primary.

Pocket Beer Engine indeed!
The Beer is not cloudy because it is a STOUT!
