Part boil, how much speciality grain?

I am looking to do my first extract brew. I will be boiling 10 litres and then topping up with remaining malt extract and water to achieve 23 litres. If a recipe requires speciality grains and malts to be used in 27 litres prior to the boil, do I use the same amount in 10 litres or do I divide by 3?

You use the amount of grain required by the recipe for the amount of beer you are making (23 Litres). If the recipe is for 23 litres then no adjustment is needed. Hope that makes sense.
