Would like to try an extract recipe and use some grains.
Have done a few kits and one recipe( golde Ale) using spray malt, golden syrup and hops which was ok. My idea is to adapt that recipe as follows-
1.5 kilo light spray malt
1 tin golden syrup
80/100 grms light crystal malt
15 grms of either fuggles or challenger hops
plus further 10 grms fuggles or challenger hops
10 grms Bramling x
Steep the crystal malt for 30 minutes, drain then add around half the spray malt and 15 grms of the hops and gently boil for around 60 minutes, add another 10 grams of hops with 10 minutes left of the boil. Cool and add to remainder of spray malt and golden syrup in FV, make up to around 13/15 litres with water.
Intend to dry hop with the Bramling X hops.

Any comments or suggestions very welcome thanks

You want a vigorous boil, not gentle.
Add the spray malt and golden syrup before cooling.
I'm just here for the beer.
