First brew - tasting notes

Post by Bazz » Sat Feb 07, 2015 11:13 am

Being impatient i have tried my first brew already despite it only being in the pressure barrel for a little less than 2 weeks, so i know that it is a little young. However it is drinkable but it does have a definite "homebrew tang" to it, that slightly yeasty taste, will this get better with age?

I know that whilst brewing this beer i did make mistakes, i should have ended with 23l in the fv but i only got 15l, i didn't allow for the grains to soak up as much, also the fermenting temperature was a little on the low side as well, probably around the 15-16 degC mark rather than 19-20 degC. Will either of these factors affected the taste much as well?
