I've just been given a 6kg propane bottle and wondered how many brews people though I could get out of a bottle that size?

The figure I've been quoted is between 1.5kg -2kg per brew but saying that my regulator can put thru 1.5kg per hour so maybe upto 3kg. So your cylinder could get as many as 4 brew s or as little as 2. For this reason this is why many go for 13kg tanks as it's cheaper per kilo. Also as the tank empty s the pressure decreases. Also people usually have 2 tanks just in case

I think I use about 1.2kg per brew. The presure supplied by the regulator remains pretty constant until the end of the bottle. What can happen is if you use butane ( blue calor bottles) then as you use the gas up it cools and it struggles to turn from liquid to gas at about 4C Propane does the same but at about -47C
