I am about to do a few Brewferm beer kits and believe the 'correct beer supping etiquette' is to savor the Belgian brews out of a fancy-pants special glass, so I thought I may treat myself to a pair ready for the occasion.
The likely culprits are......
a. The Tulip glass.
http://www.truebeer.com/Tulip-Beer-Glass-Set_p_574.html
and
b. The Snifter glass
http://www.truebeer.com/Snifter-Beer-Gl ... p_575.html
The brews I have lined up are:
1. Premier Cru
2. Christmas Beer
3. Oranje Bock
Would any of the more experienced Belgian beer drinkers out there care to let me know which glass they prefer and why.
Or should I just buy a pair of both and alternate for different brews?

Get yourself down to ikea mate.
These are only £1.25 each. Excellent beer glasses for Belgian styles

Or if you want to treat yourself...

crystal beer glasses, set of 4 different ones
Personally I just pick up different glasses from car boot sales if they are in decent nick, but I'm cheap

otoscott: The link doesn't seem to work for me mate, what were the glasses? £1.25 sounds like a bargain. My only worry is the last load of pint glasses I had out of Ikea were so flimsy they felt dreadful in the hand.
Hanglow: Strangely I have just found the Spiegelau glasses. They look really lovely, but I cant see a snifter style glass, which I think is starting to become my favourite out of the two. Also I am a bit of an oaf, so not sure how long they would last in my hands - particularly as they are likely to get 'regular use'

Re: Glasses for Belgian Style Beer
Maysie, these are actually pretty decent glasses.
Heavy and definitely not the usual supermarket type thin pint glasses you get.
They are called Atravard if the link doesn't work.

Re: Glasses for Belgian Style Beer
Definately the tulip glass for me, for 330ml servings of Belgian Golden Strong.
(my wife occasionally steals them from pubs making the experience complete )

+1 to the IKEA glasses.
I have a bunch of specialised Belgian beer glasses but these IKEA ones are even better. Definitely my favourite beer glass.
I paid 1 euro 50 over here.

Thanks for the info guys!
Some shopping now to be done.
As I think I will now go for the cheaper options, I will treat myself to a tulip and a snifter and see which I prefer.
