Counter Top Chillers

Post by ciderhead » Sun Oct 16, 2016 10:39 pm

I have a shelf chiller but was looking at these recently

Anybody got any experience with one or similar? I gather there are a few Italian manufacturers of similar units but can't find them.

theres a chap on thbf with one who swears by it, iirc weaknesses are no independent cut off tap (easy to fit inline) and no on/off switch other than at the plug. however it pours instantly (within a couple of minutes of turning on)

Hi ciderhead,

Did you (or anyone else here) go ahead with one of these units?

Cheers,

MBC :)

I didn't as of course conicals got in the way, but I have seen plenty of commercial ones since available for hire or in Brewery tap rooms and although it's on the long finger definitely in my wish list.

Thanks for this great thread. I am currently building and fitting out a garden bar / man cave and one of these chillers will save space and make a much neater solution for me than kegerators.

I look forward to some photos and feedback on how things work, to help me make a decision on which way to go.

Regards,

Matt :)
