Bottle storage crates

Post by MrN » Fri Nov 25, 2016 12:47 pm

Does anyone have a good suggestion for where I can get some crates online for storing my beer bottles in? I specifically need something I can put brown swing tops in and still be able to stack the crates, the bottles seem to be about 27cm tall. Currently I have a couple of those reddish milk bottle crates which are not high enough.

I use 35l Really Useful Boxes. They are a tad bigger than a standard beer crates. Should be tall enough for your bottles. Not cheap but I got a good deal on black ones a year ago. You can get see through ones cheaper even at your local shops (Staples, B&Q and the like).

if it's just for storage get on to Freecycle/Freegle for metal filing cabinets although it may take some time to get them. Crates take up far more space than the cabinets which also take Aldi size swing tops!

I bought a few folding plastic crates from B&Q. Stackable to a degree, but the bonus for me is being able to fold them up when not in use.
