Hi Guys,
So I need to get some life into the 5 barrels of beer I have for my wedding.
2 of them have carbed nicely. One has carbed poorly (all basic barrel), two have an S30 valve on.
The reason for the poor carb is the barrels are shit. I have tried priming, repriming, varying degrees of vaseline, no joy.
I was planning on chilling down one of the barrels with the S30 valve, giving it a sort of force carb, letting it dissolve well, then switching out the S30 cap with a basic cap so I can use the S30 cap on the flat beer.
WIll the one with the S30 on at the moment lose all its life if I do this? I figured if I chill it, the CO2 will dissolve and the barrel will recarb itself when the pressures equilibrate at room temp..
thoughts?
Cheers
