Hi I was just wondering how you get over the problem of collapsing polly beer barrels, I am putting together a beer engine set up I have a larder fridge connected to a STC1000 I was going to use my hard plastic keg but I have seen some posts where they collapse because of the vacuum. The other route I could go down is a polly pin bag type container but I would have to buy those, so I would like use what I have.
Any Ideas.
Cheers

Collapsing beer barrells
Re: Collapsing beer barrells
You will have to replace the lost volume of the beer somehow. you could crack the lid open a little but that will let air in and the beer will need to be drunk in about 4 days. Alternatively you can replace the lost volume with a co2 setup. That will be a lot more costly than some polypins though.

I think some peeps have used propane regs, as these only let the barrel/keg get to about 5psi with a co2 supply and that not enough to force carb
setting it up is worth it in the long run but its if you you use it for a long enough time
