Gas line quick disconnects

Post by HopIt » Sat Jan 20, 2018 9:01 am

I'm in the process of building a kegerator, and plan to have the co2 tank outside the fridge in a grotty old shed. The gas line from the regulator will go to a splitter inside the fridge to 2 kegs. This means when cleaning and sanitising, after sloshing around in the kegs, I'll have to go the shed to push through the keg / dip tube / beer line as I can't bring the co2 tank into the house easily.

I would like a quick disconnect outside the fridge so I can bring the tank into the house, but haven't be able find any in the UK.

I saw this: https://www.morebeer.com/articles/using ... n_beer_gun
And it looks like exactly what I'm looking for. Does anyone know where I can get disconnects like that in the UK? How do other people deal with this?

Have a Google for fuel line quick disconnects

I've had these on a few motorbikes, should be fairly easy to find

I think there are stronger metal ones available

Just looked demon tweeks sell a set for under 8 quid, with some searching you could probably find them cheaper

Thanks very much! Sorry for the stupid question but would I want the 6mm or 8mm one for a standard gas line?

check out compressed air tool fittings.. Or if its for irregular circumstances simply use a straight JG coupler which should be good for something like 20x pull and refit cycles before needing replacement.
ist update for months n months..
