25 litres liquor for the mash ( top mark on the spindle) 6 kg pale malt 84 % efficiency 6 litres sparge water (with the top filters still in place) = OG 1.061 ABV 6.1% Lower figures ifyou are using darker malts or cereals. But as Barneey says buy the 50 litre model with a 25 litre short malt tube.

I started mashing with 26L, sparged with 6-8L, after sparging when the boil started I usually had around 29-30L, ended up bottling around 22.5-23L but 2L on top of that is definitely possible with some adjustments ie adding more water to the sparge or boil.
