Oh Shit . . . No More excuses now!! . . . Divorce Pending
My friends, I have a confession. I've lost my brewing mojo!! I know, I can see you all standing there shaking your heads in disbelief, but it is true, I no longer have the will or desire to brew.
I've been looking at the pico brewery and the femtobrewewry for the last 3 or 4 years, and the shear bloody hard work of hauling it all out and putting it together has just turned me off brewing completely. If I had a permanent emplacement than it might be different, but for the time being it's just too much. I've even considered going down the BIAB route, and have the material and tape to make some bags . . . but I can't be bothered to make them. This situation cannot be allowed to continue, and so I made a decision.
I wonder what is in these ?
Can Ya Tell What it is yet??
Certainly the 20L comes well packed
Really nice German Shiney
Once the cable ties are all snipped and it's unpacked . . . Its still a lot of money for a Shiney BIAB System
I bought a few accessories as well . . Yes I too fell for the hop filter
Although the Immersion Chiller is pretty cool . . Should probably got the Jackey as well although I'm thinking some armaflex sheet will work just as well.
Well what was in the big box??
Well the Braumeister accessories were a good chunk of it. The dirty great white box is the next one to open . . . I wonder what it can be?
Well it looks as though it's something shiney . . . Well Duh!
First thoughts are that there is not a lot of assembly . . . Just the thermowell . . . then I realised they had put the Dump valve and racking arm on the wrong ports!!
It's a snip with TriClamp fittings to swap things about. and the thermoport is a breeze to install.
Look Etched Volume markings
And this is the thermoport and racking arm . . . Finish on the insides is pretty damn good . . . certainly more than good enough for brewing . . . after all it's not brain surgery we are performing here
I've just had some malt and yeast delivered from Rob @the malt miller, so I'm already to brew something.
No More Excuses!!!

Welcome to the club.....looking forward to your review and an explanation as to why on my first two brews I have missed my volume targets
Gonna have to get me one of those hoods I reckon.
Have fun!!

Those things are taking over the world!
They are very nice to use though. Enjoy.

Looks like the prestige car and motorcycle industry is in trouble - there's a new mid-life crisis purchase in town
May it return your mojo m8

Very nice matey. My set-up is permanent and built for laziness but but I still occasionally gaze enviously at BM stuff. It's just so darned compact.
So the divorce thing. Is is a divorce from your previous brewing kit of a divorcee from your better half as a result of spending this year's holiday funds? And maybe next year's too. And for cancelling Christmas.

It will probably have to be sold . . I mean there are only so many breweries a man can have
For the time being, I'm resisting though

Looks like I might be off the hook, with my inconsequential purchase of a 20L BM,hop filter, I.C. and 10L malt pipe.

Just told the wife of 38 years she's out unless I get one of those shiny things
It's not the cards your dealt it's the way you play them!
